Abel's Harp is a small bar and restaurant with lovely individually designed rooms in the heart of the Shropshire Hills below the iconic Bromlow Callow. We are in a fantastic location to explore Mary Webb (which is where we take our name from) and Houseman's Shropshire, Britains forgotten and beautiful county. We are within easy travelling distance of Ludlow, Shrewsbury, Clun, Montgomery, Bishops Castle, Church Stretton, Much Wenlock, Powys, The Longmynd, Stiperstones and are a stones throw away from the iconic Callow.We offer good home cooked food from breakfast to lunch and evening meals to our locally renowned traditional afternoon tea. You can choose to eat in our bar lounge with it's log fire to our chandelier lit tea rooms or in summer months our beautiful walled garden. (please note we do not open until 6pm on Mondays and Tuesdays this does not effect check in times which are available from 2pm)We cater for everyone we have single, double, king and family rooms all are ensuite, with memory foam mattresses, a choice of pillows, tv and dvd players, i-pod docking stations, roberts digital radios, bathrobes and slippers, complimentary handmade soaps, luxury toiletries, complimentary tea and coffee, brandy and haribo sweets. If children are staying we provide toys and colouring books and a choice of single or cot beds and if dogs stay in our dog friendly room treats and water bowl will be provided. For those of you who enjoy walking we are in an area of outstanding natural beauty with many famous walks on offer, for bird watchers we have regular sightings of red kites and there is also a famous bike run and climb withing minutes of us. This is an area popular with shoots and we are surrounded by many and are the closest accommodation to Minsterley Ranges. We have our own onsite gift shop and gallery which has a mixture of local and vintage crafts for sale and also our own petting area to entertain any young guests or animal lovers. There are panoramic views of the Shropshire Hills and open countryside from everywhere in the building and we pride ourselves on our customer service nothing is too much trouble for our staff. For those of you who come to walk through the beautiful countryside we have a boiler room for wet coats and boots and are able to provide picnics at a small charge. On the second and last saturday of every month we have an acoustic music night where a special menu runs along side our normal menu those evenings are very busy and guests are advised to book a table in our dining area in advance as it is normally fully booked. On friday evenings we run a special homemade fish and chip option alongside our normal menu this is also extremely popular and so guests are advised to book a table in advance.We offer room service for a small tray charge, laundry services and ironing and can arrange baby sitting too. Directions

From Shrewsbury follow signs to Minsterley, at Minsterley roundabout head towards Hope Valley, follow the road for Bentlawnt passing the Stables Inn and post office on the left take the next right turn marked Bromlow the Callow is on the right hand side and shortly afterwards you find Abel's Harp. From Ludlow follow signs for Shrewsbury and then Minsterley, before you get to Minsterley come off the a488 and follow the brown tourist sign Abel's Harp
